About Brisk Teaching

Chrome extension that drafts feedback on student writing in Google Docs and creates quizzes, lessons and leveled texts from any page.

Brisk Teaching works as a Chrome extension, so it appears inside the tools many teachers already use, such as Google Docs, Google Slides and web pages. Open a student essay in Google Docs and Brisk can draft comments against a rubric you choose, which you then edit before the student sees them.

The same extension can turn an article or a video into a quiz, a lesson outline or a version of the text at a different reading level. Brisk also offers a way to look at the writing history of a Google Doc, which some teachers use when they have questions about how a piece was written.

Treat the feedback drafts as a starting point. Read the student work yourself before a grade goes home, and check with your school about using an extension that reads student documents.
