Flashcard and study platform with practice modes, a class game called Quizlet Live and AI tools that make study sets from notes.
- Free plan or free tier
- Students use it directly
- Mobile app
Game-based quizzes played live in class or assigned for later, with AI help to build questions from a topic or a document.
Kahoot! turns a set of questions into a game. In live mode the teacher shows the questions on a screen, students answer on their own devices, and a leaderboard updates after each question. Games can also be assigned for students to play on their own time.
Teachers can write questions by hand, copy from a large public library of games, or use the AI question generator to draft questions from a topic, a web page or an uploaded document. The drafts need checking, especially for answer choices that are wrong in subtle ways.
Kahoot! works well for quick review and a lively start to a lesson. The speed and the leaderboard do not suit every student, so many teachers turn off the timer or use team mode. The free plan covers basic games; reports and some question types need a paid plan.
